Privacy Policy

Last updated October 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Seatown Therapy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects through seatowntherapy.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site only — not to the clinical care we provide, which is governed by separate intake and consent documents.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, message, and — if you choose to provide them — your phone number and a subject line. The form also asks you to confirm that you agree to be contacted.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. If you accept cookies, or you are signed in, we also measure time on the Site and video watch time with first-party tools we operate ourselves. We do not use Google Analytics or other third-party analytics. Anonymous visitors who decline cookies are not measured. We also store your cookie consent choice in a small first-party cookie — see our Cookie Policy for details.

A note about health information

The Site is not designed to collect health or medical information, and we ask that you do not include details about your medical history or condition in the contact form. A website inquiry does not create a therapist–client relationship.

If you become a client, your clinical records are created and maintained separately from this website, under the privacy practices and consent documents we review with you at intake.

How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations
  • Provide, operate, and secure the Site
  • Remember your cookie consent choice
  • Measure time on the Site and video watch time, as described above
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Site:

  • Hosting. The Site is hosted by a cloud provider that processes standard server logs on our behalf.
  • Amazon links. Our shop page links to curated product lists on Amazon. Once you follow one of those links, Amazon’s privacy policy applies — we do not receive your Amazon account or payment information.
  • Site measurement. We measure time on the Site and video watch time ourselves. Looping background videos are counted separately from videos you choose to play. This runs for anonymous visitors only after they accept cookies, and for signed-in use of the Site and client portal. We do not use third-party analytics tags.

How long we keep information

We keep contact-form submissions only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of our correspondence, after which they are deleted. Technical logs are retained for a short period consistent with our hosting provider’s defaults. Your cookie consent choice expires automatically after roughly six months. First-party time-on-site and video-watch measurements are kept so we can understand how the Site is used. Anonymous measurements are tied to a random identifier, not your name, unless you are signed in.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us using the details below. You can change your cookie choice at any time on the cookie preferences page.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We will honor valid requests as required by law.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
