Seatown Therapy provides Therapeutic Exercise, Functional goal setting, Aquatic Therapy and Pilates. This service is for those unsure where or how to get started with their healing or maintenance journeys. After working 17 years in an outpatient setting for Physical Therapy, Tracey realized clients needed more support, more time to listen, and connect. Insurance benefits exhausting before ever reaching goals was also limiting recovery for many. Tracey works to help guide those who are ready to move through the world with ease, strength, purpose, and efficiency. Patient education is the main focal point for independent management and prophylaxis. Tracey provides clients with foundational principles to help increase confidence and improve function. This service is also for those recovering from injury and need help getting back to group classes or a prior level of activity.
Tracey uses her own experiences with chronic pain, injuries, concussions, and post-partum difficulties to share that no one is alone on their path and each road to recovery is unique. As stated before, she has over 17 years of experience working with clients and even more experience working in the water.
Her first love of the water began with competitive swimming, and teaching swimming lessons. Tracey’s skill set evolved over time eventually working with clients that needed modifications due to neurological disorders and injuries. The water offers freedom in the form of therapy, training, or the life skill of learning how to swim. Tracey works with many fearful adult swimmers that have been unsuccessful in a group class setting. To date, her oldest client she taught how to swim was 93 years old 😊
Maybe you are looking to learn Pilates to strengthen your core. Tracey began Pilates and later became certified to help decrease chronic pain when nothing else worked for her. Pilates is a method of strengthening and lengthening from the inside out. Pilates uses principles of control, centering, concentration, breath, flow, and precision. Little by little, poco a poco, No goal too small or too big.
